Adam Carolla was born in Los Angeles County, California. Before breaking into entertainment, he worked in carpentry, construction, and as a boxing instructor. He gained initial public attention in the mid-1990s through Los Angeles radio station KROQ, which led to him co-hosting the nationally syndicated call-in advice program Loveline alongside Dr. Drew Pinsky, as well as its television adaptation on MTV.
In 1999, Carolla co-created and co-hosted Comedy Central's The Man Show with Jimmy Kimmel, followed by the puppet-prank series Crank Yankers. After his terrestrial morning radio show was cancelled in 2009, Carolla launched The Adam Carolla Show podcast, which quickly became one of the industry's early commercial successes. He has since authored several bestselling books, directed independent documentaries, and continued to host daily digital broadcasts.
