Alina Șerban is a Romanian Roma actress, playwright, and director. Raised in Bucharest, Romania, she overcame significant socio-economic adversity and went on to study drama at the National University of Theatre and Film in Bucharest, New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London.

She broke through internationally with leading roles in the 2018 feature Alone at My Wedding and the 2019 drama Gipsy Queen. Beyond screen acting, Șerban is widely recognized for creating pioneering theater productions that address Roma identity, feminist perspectives, and human rights, continuing to perform and direct across European stages and film productions.
