Nobody owned the nineties quite like Jim Carrey. He went from sleeping in a VW camper van to pulling in $20 million a picture thanks to rubber-faced physical comedy that left cinema crowds breathless. Between Ace Ventura, The Mask, and Dumb and Dumber, he took over the box office in a single calendar year. Then he proved he could break your heart too in The Truman Show and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
These days, he picks his spots carefully. He spends half his time painting in his art studio and the other half chewing scenery as Doctor Robotnik in the Sonic the Hedgehog movies. He is unpredictable, eccentric, and entirely his own man.
