
Jennie Bond Says Prince Harry Has Done Himself No Favours in UK Security Battle
Prince Harry has hurt his own public support in his fight for UK police protection, according to veteran royal expert Jennie Bond.

King Charles III was born at Buckingham Palace in 1948, the eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. He became heir apparent in 1952 upon his mother's accession and was formally invested as Prince of Wales in 1969. During his decades as heir apparent, the longest in British history, he pursued philanthropic initiatives, founding The Prince's Trust in 1976 and campaigning extensively on environmental sustainability, agriculture, and urban design.
He acceded to the throne in September 2022 upon the death of Queen Elizabeth II, with his formal coronation taking place at Westminster Abbey in May 2023. As monarch, he performs official state duties, hosts foreign dignitaries, and serves as head of the Commonwealth.
