Born in London in 1982 to King Charles III and Diana, Princess of Wales, Prince William was educated at Eton College and the University of St Andrews, where he earned a degree in geography. He subsequently completed military training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and served as an operational search-and-rescue pilot in the Royal Air Force before transitioning to full-time royal duties.
Following the accession of King Charles III in September 2022, William became the heir apparent and was created Prince of Wales. Alongside his official constitutional and ceremonial responsibilities, his major public work focuses on environmental innovation through the Earthshot Prize, mental health awareness, and programs addressing homelessness.
