Diana, Princess of Wales

Diana Frances Spencer was born into the British nobility on July 1, 1961, in Sandringham, Norfolk. She catapulted into global prominence in 1981 following her engagement and subsequent marriage to Charles, Prince of Wales, at St Paul's Cathedral, which was watched by a worldwide television audience of hundreds of millions.

Throughout her life in the public eye, Diana became renowned for her transformative approach to royal charity work, notably championing causes related to HIV/AIDS awareness, leprosy, and the clearance of landmines.
