You don't earn a reputation as a lethal stretch four by playing it safe. Ryan Anderson built a twelve-year NBA career out of punishing defences from way behind the three-point line. At six-foot-ten, he made opposing big men chase him out to the perimeter, lighting up scoreboards for the Orlando Magic, New Orleans Pelicans, and Houston Rockets.

His life off the court took a devastating, public turn in 2013 after the tragic passing of his partner Gia Allemand. Anderson met the heartbreak with immense courage, speaking openly about mental health and grief while continuing to play at the highest level. He wrapped up his playing days with a reputation as a pure shooter and one of the most respected teammates in the league.
